To Los Angeles and Villages Pasadena, Sat, Feb 9

Today we all flew into the Los Angeles airport and everyone arrived by 4 pm. We rented two vans and drove to the Ten Thousand Villages store in Pasadena where we were met by Sam Bills, Manager, and a number of board members, staff and volunteers. A couple of people from the new South Bay fair trade steering group joined us as well since they hope to start a new Villages store in the South Bay area of Los Angeles within the next year.

We all went out to dinner at a local restaurant, enjoyed eating and visiting together and visited the store before returning to our hotel.

Tomorrow, Sunday, we have a short orientation at our hotel and then board Singapore Airlines to Jakarta in the afternoon.
